COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This limited-edition winter brew will make its debut in October, but this winter celebration ale is worth the wait. Malted barley and chocolate tones define the traditional style, while the robust aroma and long, mellow finish will make this the perfect companion for your holiday adventures.

Appearance Pours a crystal clear reddish brown, with a small offwhite head that leaves some lacing
Aroma The flavours are incredibly malty, with notes of roasted bread, butterscotch, burnt sugar, and dried fruits.
Taste Very sweet, with a suitably bitter finish that rounds off the sweetness perfectly.
Palate The mouthfeel is pleasantly light, and a lot lighter than I expected from a beer this malty, but still assertively full-bodied. The carbonation is medium, and the aftertaste is long with notes of roasted malts and liquorice.
Overall This is by far the maltiest beer I’ve had of any style, and I have to say I’m impressed. A very well balanced beer.

An icelandic, copper dobbelbock with light head and with four malts including chocolate malt. Aroma is roasted ryebread, light caramel, light coffee, light prune. Taste is light bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

After trying some of Einstok’s brews, it was quite a treat to try a decent holiday brew for Christmas. It runs amber with some tastes of fruits and caramel :) It’s a bit more fizzy than their other brews running more towards the bitter side :)

Dark brown with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour are intense with toasted malts, caramel and a milk chocolate type of smooth sweetness.

Drank from a liter stein poured from a twelve ounce bottle (I didn’t have any other glasses). Nice slightly chocolately aroma with a wonderful aroma of lightly roasted malts. Pours a nice mahogany color with slightly off white head. An amazing doppelbock!

bock tüüpi ülle kohta üllatavalt maitsev, mitte liiga pealetükkiv, tummine, mõnus

Beery Christmas #19 from Saveur Bière. The beer looks great, just like a doppelbock should. The color of the beer is a beautiful clear ruby red. The beer is very clear. Beautiful. On top of the beer a nice thick layer of greyish foam is formed. The bulk of the foam collapses quickly, to leave a minimal drape. Than the smell. It is a nice smell. It is everything you can aspect from a bock like this. The smell is rather warming. I smell bittersweet caramel and slightly chocolaty malts. There is a nice refreshing hop tone, giving some bitters and sours to the smell. Besides this I smell some liquorice. I also smell some gentle sweet syrup aroma’s It are all nice heavy winter/autumn smells. I like it. There is a nice harmony in the smell. The taste is also very nice. There are nice bittersweet malt flavours and a bitter hop touch. The chocolate and caramel are clearly tastable, so is the liquorice (in the distance though) and the syrup. There is a nice balance. The beer is sweet, but not to sweet. It’s perfect for cold weather, to drink besides the fire. The palate is nice. The body is rather medium. It’s not as heavy as some beers can be. The carbonation is rather soft. The finish is of average length and fades away nicely. There is a nice alcoholy flavour in the finish.
