American and Bavarian craft come together with the finest Icelandic water to create the Viking version of the Pale Ale, where robust hoppiness meets smooth malty undertones. Cascade hops give it the American character, while Northern Brewer hops add just enough bitterness to make this Ale refreshingly Icelandic.

Fatehunter (2640) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Poured a half finger of head on a medium amber colored body. The aroma is caramel and honey. Pleasant. The taste starts out with mild bitterness, moves to chalky bitterness and finishes sour. A bit disjointed. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. A descent pale ale.

Nice beer; not overwhelming in aroma or taste. Damning with faint praise to say that a beer from Iceland is inoffensive; but that is my impression.

Beer5000 (6820) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 1, 2018
Bottle. Clear golden body with a small, lacing off-white head. Aroma is general fruity, but it does not feel very fresh, not directly ripe either just slightly unpleasant. Flavor is medium sweet ripe fruit with some malt and harsh bitterness. Not very successfully.

cagou007 (1236) - FRANCE - DEC 28, 2017
Pours hazy amber with medium white head. Nose is toasted malt. Aromas are sweet and toasted malts, herbal and spicy hops. Slight bitterness. Medium carbonation, medium body. Medium bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

simontomlinson (673) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2017
Brilliant white creamy head stayed well on a effervescent, hazy light brown body. Well balanced aroma of malt, hops & caramel. Medium bodied, creamy on the palate, average carbonation & a tingle down the throat. Malt to the fore with caramel but this is quickly followed by hoppy tastes of citrus & pine & long bitter finish.

drdisque (899) - Illinois, USA - DEC 4, 2017
On tap at Valhalla NY. Pours slightly cloudy copper. Nice light bodied well balanced but relatively unspectacular pale ale. Appropriately hopped.

dinkle50 (1583) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 4, 2017
Deep red pour with a single finger head. Lace present immediately. Aroma is a little floral, slight pine notes. Medium bodied. Nice bitter finish. Slightly sweet up front. Does not finish very dry. Not terrible, but hard to say this is a pale ale. More of a bitter.

BeerdedDave (2001) - Beckley, USA - DEC 1, 2017
amber color; light, floral hop aroma; floral, citrusy hop flavor on a medium bodied bready malt base

wiedrzensky (989) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 28, 2017
Bottle. Pours amber clear with thick stable head. Aroma of pine, resin, caramel, honey. Taste is moderate bitter, light malty, rather hoppy, resin on tongue. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, long bitter finish.
