Golden, clear. Nice thick head, some lacing.
Aroma: herbal, grassy, dried fruits, some malt/bread. Not very strong, but pleasant.
Taste: somewhat malty, but bitterness overtakes the maltiness. Very pleasantly/softly bitter finish.
Palate: medium body, not too much carboantion. Very palatable.
Overall a great and very drinkable pale ale. Extremely drinkable. dwyerpg (6187) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 10, 2012
A great fresh citrus hop aroma right from the bottle but with some malts giving it a decent battle. Quite fruity with an ice light hop body and finish. The beer has a weird fresh/aged flavor to it, as crazy as that sounds. Picked up at the Solvang brewery in CA. Eirikur (386) - hafnarfjordur, ICELAND - DEC 7, 2011
Beautiful mouthwatering copper colour .. faint head, still holding .. hoppy aroma .. pleasant taste .. palate is wonderfully balanced, leaving a slight oily mouthfeel.
*I believe this brew will greatly imporove with age (in bottle)* Give it 3-5 years in the cellar.
Perfect Ale to have with Whisky.
I never thought I would rate an Icelandic brew this high.
Hats off for the brewmaster. emperorsled (14) - Aledo, Illinois, USA - APR 16, 2016
Pretty good stuff. Very easy on the front end with just a bit of spice on the back. Could easily drink this all night. Pudding (260) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2013
330ml. ar: sherbert, esters similar to Belgian ales. ap: gold, clear. ta: similar to Belgian ale, spicy, with good malt backbone. pa: syrupy mouthfeel with appropriate carbonation. Overall: superb high quality beer that tastes Belgian without the bananas!

A good and tasteful beer, sold in pubs and liquor store. Pale color, strong flavor. bjakk (780) - Skagafjordur, ICELAND - JUN 6, 2012
Golden, white foam, malty caramel, candy aroma. Malt, caramel candy in flavour. with mild bitter aftertaste, that lasts, and grows. Good beer zullojordan (2) - - OCT 16, 2012 does not count
Very easy to drink pale ale. I think einstok does a great job with all their beers . G 16erBlech (524) - Burgenland, AUSTRIA - JUN 13, 2016
0,33l bottle from Metro. Malty with a lightly bitter finish. Quaffable. Like it.

Bottle. My first from Iceland and very impressive it was. Bronze with a small head.Low carbonation with a biscuit like flavour and some citrus presence. Not overloaded with hops as most pale ale seem to be these days. Surprisingly pleasant.
