COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Really dark brown, big mocha head. Vague toasty and chocolaty aroma, a hint of dark fruit and somewhat vinous. Mild roasted, plain toasted brand, soft chlorophyll bitterness. Ok.

Ei midagi erilist, lausa vesine tundus. Kui piisavalt kiiresti ära ei joo, siis lőpus hakkab juba seebimaitset visakama. Pettumus.

Towey1989 (2698) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2017
Bottle at Beyond The Pale, Leek. Pours a deep brown colour with a thin beige head. Aroma of toast, light smoke, some chocolate, slight biscuit and subtle spice. Taste of toast, chocolate, biscuit, some smoke, slight caramel, a little coffee, a little brown sugar and subtle spice, maybe liquorice. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dryish, biscuity, chocolate bitterness in the finish. A dry, toasty, chocolatey brown ale kind of beer. Full of flavour and a dry finish. Like an old fashioned southern brown ale. Nice.

LCI. Nice porter, bit smokey, some roasted malts. Nice taste, but a bit watery for me, could have had a bit more fuller body. Not bad though.

blipp (9139) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 12, 2017
Draft. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Kind of a grainy base, with mild toasted malts, roasted grain, and a grainy finish. Reminds me more of a schwarz.

guzgorog (844) - FRANCE - FEB 10, 2017
Robe noire, opaque, mousse beige moyenne qui s’efface en un fin filet. Nez intense de grillé/brulé : pain grillé et café. Bouche également sur le pain grillé et le café. Corps moyen, faible amertume, longueur moyenne. Un porter sympathique mais pas inoubliable.

Close to perfection A very good dark beer, well balanced between dark malt and hop flavours, sustained by a perfect body.
