With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Bottle shared at home. Near black with a ring tan head. Aroma of big coffee, roast, dark chocolate, cocoa, toffee and caramel. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Deep dark brown pour with a thin light beige head. Nice dark cocoa and slightly sweet marshmallow like nose with slightly roasty tones. Smooth mellow flavor thats a little roasty, a little toasty, light marshmelllw fluffy sweetness and a gentle cocoa finish. Pretty nice, a little light but tasty.

(330 ml bottle) Pours a jet-black beer, with a thin beige head. The aroma is just what you’d expect: extremely roasty, with bucketloads of coffee and dark chocolate, toast, caramel, toffee, fresh malt, vanilla, and a hint of fig. This leads to oak, tobacco smoke, and freshly-tanned leather on the finish. This porter is powerful and bitter. The mouthfeel seems just a little too fizzy, and it’s a rather too bitter for my palate. However, the aromas are smooth and well-blended, and the overall craftsmanship of the beer clearly deserves recognition.

330 ml bottle, looks like the bottled on date is 12.07.16, and the best before date is 12 JUL 2018. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like toffee, nuts, chocoate, coffee, roasted malt and some dark fruit (plums). Taste is similar to the aroma, I think the toffee, chocolate and roasty flavors are the strongest, with some coffee, nutty and dark fruit flavors still noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I think it’s a good enjoyable porter, definitely worth picking up! $2.59 a single bottle.

It pours dark brown with a brown head. Head retention is moderate. The initial aromas feature chocolate, hints of expresso, hints of coffee, and some roast. It has coffee flavors with roast, chocolate, and dark fruits. The dark fruits are plums with a hint of cherry. There is also hint of toast in the background. It has a moderate feel with a sweet finish that highlights the dark fruits. Overall, it is a beer that features a malt balance with dark fruits blended it.

Poores very dark with minimal head. Clear aroma of coffee, chocolate and caramel in smell and taste. Light sweetness in the middle and light hoppy ending. Quite high carbonation. Maybe a little bit too much for a porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
