With clear notes of espresso, dark chocolate and a hint of authentic Icelandic coffee, this Porter is dark and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate and easy to drink. There’s no need to be afraid of the dark anymore.

Deep ruby red basically dark brown almost black. with a frothy, thick beige lasting head. Smells of deep roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Nice roasted chocolate taste with some burnt elements, malt, caramel and a smoky dry coffee finish. I like it but it feels a bit burnt.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2017 Næsten sort. Skummet forsvinder lidt hurtigt. Første snif gav lidt metal. Det stoppede heldigvis. Ellers er det ristet malt og kaffe i næsen. Overraskende let i munden. Smager godt og ret ukompliceret.

12oz bottle from Total Wine in Brookfield. Pours almost black with a dark beige spongey head leaving a lot of streaky lace. Aroma has dark chocolate and toffee, plus some molasses, some light roast, and some lactose. Taste is of bakers chocolate, sweet toffee, some roastiness with burnt espresso notes, a bit of molasses and some dark fruit. Super dry. Nicely bittersweet and smooooooth. Oats in there too? Medium bodied, there is little alcohol presence and the blend is quite good. Finishes bone dry and solidly in the center of that bitter-sweet scale. This is a soft tasty brew. 14

Bottle. A- Woody, smoke, dark fruits, toasted vanilla, subtle coffee. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Char, wood, smoke, toasted marshmallow, dark fruits, roasty, mild bitterness, subtle espresso. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- For almost 2 years old, I figured this might lose it's luster. Sure enough, it was good as all get out. Starts out with sweet dark fruits and some wood notes, then fades into some char and smoked earthy notes, and finally finishes with some toasted marshmallow as it warms. Really good stuff.

Very easy to drink porter. Very balanced flavor without much bitterness. If this was cheaper it would have more repeat drink ability. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a very black with a dissipating khaki colored head which leaves nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, coffee, toasted bread, nuts, hints of dark fruits. Flavor of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits, licorice and a bit smoke. Strong bitter coffee aftertaste. Would recommend to my friends!

Aroma of chocolate, caramel, nuts, toast, malt and coffee. Almost black with a tan head. Medium + Sweet and medium bitter. Medium to full body with a average carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Overall a very enjoyable Porter. Nice balance between the roasty bitterness and the sweetness.
