The head is brown and robust, the body is black. It smells sweet, chocolate, a bit roasty, creamy. The taste is sweet, a bit roasted toasty, but more darkmalty-strange, a bit chocolate. In the aftertaste a bit roastmalty, bitter. I most like the aftertaste. Drinkable. 13/11/10/10/13/10

A clear black beer with a small light brown head. Mild nose with cocoa, coffee, caramel and smoke aromas. Quite dry flavor with a toasty, mildly bitter and astringent finish. Low carbonation and rich palate. Quite nice and well balanced porter on the dry side.

On tap at Trails End Taproom. Pours black, with a medium, bubbly, tan head. Mild coffee nose, with some pumpernickel, black pepper, and toast. Sweet and roasted, with a sharp, pleasant bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a sharp, lightly acidic, and chewy mouthfeel. This is a big and toasty beer, but well balanced.

Pours dark brown with a white, frothy head. The aroma is caramel, roasted malts and ersatz coffee. The taste is roasted malts, dark chocolate, rye, some coffee and cacao. Some alcohol in the back. The carbonation too high, only when is it gone the mouthfeel becomes smooth and pleasant. The body is medium. Quite nice.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2017 Næsten sort. Skummet forsvinder lidt hurtigt. Første snif gav lidt metal. Det stoppede heldigvis. Ellers er det ristet malt og kaffe i næsen. Overraskende let i munden. Smager godt og ret ukompliceret.

12oz bottle from Total Wine in Brookfield. Pours almost black with a dark beige spongey head leaving a lot of streaky lace. Aroma has dark chocolate and toffee, plus some molasses, some light roast, and some lactose. Taste is of bakers chocolate, sweet toffee, some roastiness with burnt espresso notes, a bit of molasses and some dark fruit. Super dry. Nicely bittersweet and smooooooth. Oats in there too? Medium bodied, there is little alcohol presence and the blend is quite good. Finishes bone dry and solidly in the center of that bitter-sweet scale. This is a soft tasty brew. 14
