COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Five years ago today, Einstök Ölgerð began selling beer throughout Iceland. Now they serve their award-winning beers in 22 countries throughout the world and are the #1 craft beer out of Iceland. In a Reykjavik celebration held to thank their loyal Icelandic customers, Einstök officially launched its newest style, the Icelandic Wee Heavy. Einstök Icelandic Wee Heavy is an 8.0 ABV Scotch Ale brewed with handpicked angelica and birch-smoked Icelandic barley. It will be sold year-round in 330ml bottles and on draft in various keg sizes. It is available now in Iceland and will be launched in Europe in the next few weeks. It will be available in the United States in early 2017.

330ml bottle. Pours dark reddish-brown, big beige head stays nicely, lacing. Aroma of malts, nuts, dark cherries, some toffee. Taste is herbal, malty, nutty, boozy, prunes, dates. Dried fruits in aftertaste, also lots of booze. Medium + body, average carbo. Taste is good, but boozy, overally not bad.

Bottle. Nutty toffee malt, hay, and alcohol aroma. Dark brown with large tan head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt, and moderately bitter hay and alcohol flavor. Good body - light woody finish.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Lucky's Market - 12 oz bottle. Deep, dark copper pour, sticky khaki colored head - light lacing. Aroma has some peat, toffee, some nuttiness. Delectable flavor with some nice toffee accents, a hint of chocolate, some earthy peat notes in the back end. Thick, smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle from Tim for my bday. Poured an ugly murky brown with a barely there head. Aroma is figs, raisin, dates, some brown bread. Flavor is the same plus peat and a touch of smoke. Medium slick mouthfeel with barely there caebonation.

Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet mineraly, sap, caramel malts, minerals, fruit stones, raisins, shed, hay, grass, toast, old rope, hints of licorice and toffee. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, minerals, fruit stones, bark, caramel malts, raisins, paper, toast, shed, hay, hints of medicine. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough.
