Eisenbahn Lust is the first beer in Brazil produced by the "champnoise" method. After the normal fermentation and maturation in the brewery, the liquid is sent to a winery, where it stays for three months and passes by the traditional process of champagne production. It has fruit aroma and refreshing flavor. Presents fine and plentiful "perlage". It is ideal as appetizer and for pairing with dessert and great celebrations!

Bottle at Peters 2nd annual spring gathering. This was just horrible. Bottle was definitely infected, enormously large head and a hell of a gusher. Spicy funk and infections on the nose. Utterly nasty. Only beer of the day that I literally ran to the sink to spit out.

Taste at PilsnerPeters 2nd Annual Gathering
Gushed everywhere. Gold with a white head. Alcohol, bubblegum, and lemon rule the nose. Sweeter flavor of lemon and honey, some light yeast. Thin, zesty body highlights the rather weak profile, and theres too much contrast between the nose and the flavor. The sweetness doesnt help either.

Bottle from New Beer. This one was a gusher and eventually poured a vibrant bronze with loads of fizzy head. Aroma of bubblegum, hay, and lemon. Flavor is lemon, barnyard, yeast, bubblegum phenols, and pine hops. I really like the champagne feel with the Belgian notes. Light but sharp body. Basically an average Belgian with a mouthfeel thats a nice change of pace.

Bottle at PilsnerPeters RBSG 2010. Bottle may have been infected. Crazy amount of fizz when opened. Still its a good beer. Pours apricot orange. Nose is fermented fruits and light spice. Taste is apricots and golden wheat.

750ml bottle, caged and corked. 2006 vintage. There was a loud pop when the cork was removed, but no gush. Poured a slightly hazy light orange color. The head was fizzy and white with good retention. There was a bit of tattered lace on the glass at the end. Smelled of subdued spices, especially clove, white pepper, and cinnamon. There was also a whiff of fleshy fruit ala apricot and red apple. Medium bodied and sweet. Carbonation was on the higher end of the spectrum at champagne levels. Tasted predominantly of honey, pale malt, vanilla and clove.

2006 bottle, 750mL, shared with my lovely wife for Valentines day. First things first.. this should not have required a corkscrew.. 2nd.. IT BROKE MY CORKSCREW!! I had to extract the cork using a vise. Poured effervescent medium orange with a dense cap of off-white head and light sediment in there. The aroma picked up white vinous notes, pears, and green apple over a touch of honey and more fruity meat backing.. slight notes of dish soap and warm alcohol on the back. The flavor opened with tartness from the heavy carbonation and some spicy yeast.. honey and bready sweetness supported.. green apples and white grapes found their way into all facets of the drink and paired well with spicy boozage and banana-ey yeast on the finish. Medium-plus bodied and exceptionally carbonated on the palate.. warming and well-balanced.. this was a very good brew.

Sharing a bottle with Ughsmash for Valentines Day. Really, really hard to open, but a good satisfying pop when it did. Poured very bubbly with thick head. Pretty golden, orangey color with visible carbonation. Smells like citrus and champagne. Has a bit of a sour flavor with a touch of alcohol. The palate is not as fizzy as I anticipated. Fun to drink for a special occasion.

750 ml with a 2007 cork. Gusher has a huge head of meringue that endures well. Butterscotch body with lots of small particles and bubbles. Fruity nose of cinnamon apples, sharp citrus and resin is tempered just a bit by some earthy funky yeast. Smooth, rich flavor of earthy spices, brandied light fruit, slight clove-banana, peppery citrus zest and resin. Shows a touch of alcohol, but it is not overpowering and adds more depth of flavor. Medium body is smooth and dangerously drinkable. Expensive, but pleasantly surprised by this one.

Yellow pour with a never ending head that gushed...small champagne bubbles. Aroma is fruity, apples, green grapes, some sweet malt. Flavor is soft and fruity...very unique "beer"
