Test vom 3.4.2011, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 12,12,15,12,-,13 - 12,89

On Tap at the brewpub. Pours a nice golden color with a full foamy white head. Aroma is a fresh malt and hops and very fine. Taste is a smooth sweet malt and very smooth and frothy. Palate is an excellent smooth sweeter beer. A wonderful beer, very nice, I could drink this all day.

On tap at the brewpub (thanks Morko!). Murky golden body. Wow, this started immediately with a strong grainy maltiness, almost husky, Czech-like... heck, Czech-at-its-best-like, vague herbal notes. Brilliant bready maltiness, notes of honey, nice herbal hopiness in the background. Complex yet ordinary and overall... wow! I had high hopes for this but this exceeded all of them. Now THIS is a brilliant lager. Great job!

Koelschtrinker (21489) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 19, 2011
Das Bier ist rundum fruchtig und süß, es erinnert stark an Banane. Der Abgang ist herb und recht leicht, wobei der Rest des Bieres eher penetrant wirkt. Süffig ist es trotzdem, und zwar sehr! Test vom 4.7.2006, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 14,11,14,9,-,12 - 11,89

I liked this Helles-Marzen as well but not so much as the other beer. I is good and tasty. I nice easy to drink beer.

erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUL 29, 2013
Served in a cool stein, so I have no idea how it looks like. Let?s say a 4, since the stein looks great. Herbal hops, classic yet fresh, apple, very interesting. Fairly bitter, herbal again, tea and very drinkable body with light carbonation.

On tap at the Mainz Einheits-Bürgerfest. Pale, golden color, with a big, frothy, off-white head. The nose is butterscotch, walnuts, vanilla, and candy orange slices. Very sweet and syrupy, with a bit of hop bitterness. This is a fairly big, syrupy, and malty märzen. Good balance, and very drinkable.

Draught at the brewpub; Stammwürze 12,5%
Hazy pale blond color. It has a very nice, soft aroma of malt, and light aroma of cookies and vanilla. It has a round mouthfeel, due to the residual sugars, with a quite good malt flavor. The hopping (pure Hallertau I think) is quite good, subtle, and the final is just correct (some more bitterness would be appreciated). Good, a sweet Pilsner, more than a Märzen.

savnac (2656) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - MAY 23, 2013
Draft @ Eisgrub-Bräu in Mainz. Golden with a foamy head. Aroma is lots of cereal grain, spicy hops and some light caramel. Flavor is very malty with a clean bitterness. Medium to light body. Great beer, very clean and flavorful.
