A brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and licorice. The flavor is sweet with notes of grain, hay, caramel, and licorice. A somewhat boring beer. Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - APR 13, 2005
Deep brown coloured. Nice malty aroma. Sweet and malty flavour. Soft mouthfeel. Well balanced. A very nice Dunkel. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2004
Mainly dry malt here. Has a sweetish edge, but not too sweet. A reasonable middle of the road dunkel - neither exciting nor unpleasant. Bottled at GBBF 2004.

Bottled - GBBF 2004. A dark brown beer with a sweet, malty, nutty aroma. The taste is typically dunkel with lots of malt. An OK beer to follow up the Drie Fonteinen! rauchbier (3949) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2004
Bottled, from Fabeers in York. Deep bronze, good thick creamy off white head and gentle condition. Pleasing toffee, caramel, low toast and discreet hops in the nose. Sweet and malty in the mouth but never cloying, creamy and roasted with hints of buttery toffee and a touch of smokiness. Sweet and gently roasted finish with a little chocolate at the end.
