(bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a beige, medium-sized foamy head. Sweet, slightly nutty and moderately toasted malty aroma with notes of cacao, caramel and a tinge of herbal hops. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Toast-malty, leafy and slightly nutty taste with shy traces of cacao and herbal accents; the latter getting stronger towards the mildly toasted and bitter finish. Bottled - GBBF 2004. A dark brown beer with a sweet, malty, nutty aroma. The taste is typically dunkel with lots of malt. An OK beer to follow up the Drie Fonteinen! chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2004
Mainly dry malt here. Has a sweetish edge, but not too sweet. A reasonable middle of the road dunkel - neither exciting nor unpleasant. Bottled at GBBF 2004.
