Nice and refreshing, good with food. I had it with bacalao - match made in heaven

On the Brewpub 050914. Deep golden colour with an off- white head. Aroma is orange, peaches, malt, caramel, yeast, lemon. Medium body. Nice beer.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s a dark golden to amber colored beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white head. Some curtains. It’s fruity and peachy on the nose, lightly malty and with some caramel. It’s nicely carbonated, soft on the palate, and medium to full bodied. Fruity, peachy flavor too, with a fine bitterness, some pine cones and resins. A yeasty touch too, which I find more evident than I’d like. Should perhaps have some more punch this one, else it’s a fine beer. 140905

On tap at Bølgen & Moi, Bergen. Pours hazy weak orange with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty, very weak lemon and citrus. Taste is rather sharp on the edges with a more pleasant fruity melon/plum addition towards the weak dry finish.

Small mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly fruity, light malts, hops, weeds, wet cardboard, yeast, dried fruits, hay. Taste is slightly dry and sour-ish harsh, light malts, hops, harsh grass, wet cardboard, sour hay, wet grain. Medium to longlasting bitterness. Next!

On tap @ Bølgen & Moi. This is a cloudy peach-orange one with a nice medium sized just off-white top. It has a medium fruity-sweet nose with peaches, herbal heather honey, soft cold apples, some gentle grassy thing with a soft wet cardboard/diacetyl hint (that grows as it gains some temperature) and a really present caramel-sweetness. It’s actually not that bad. Somewhat inviting. It’s quite average on the carbonation and the mouthfeel is quite thin - almost watery. It’s much dryer than the aroma suggested and the wet cardboard is jacked up a few knots compared with the aroma. Some grapy citrus juices and a slightly herbal touch. Quite astringent and mouthdrying after a while in the mouth. It has a present and gentle bitterness, that I have to say is quite alright, but when summing up, it’s just not quite there for me. Still, I like the concept and idea. 11.01.2013

On tap at Bølgen & Moi, Bergen. Has a dark orange hazy colour with a off-white medium head. A bit faint fruity aroma of leather, wood and some hops and pale malt. The flavour is a more malty version of the aroma with some fruityness and a good dose of grassy hops, and some wet cardboard and alcohol in the end. Has a rich and soft mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A good, fresh and tasteful pale ale.

On tap @ Bølgen & Moi, Bergen. What fun to list this beer on Ratebeer, as I’ve had the homebrew version on several occasions before. :-) Pours a hazy dark orange body with a medium creamy head. Nose is peaches, apricot, wet grass and hints of flowers and faint pine tones. Taste is floral peach notes up front with piney "soapy" hop tones following suit. Mellow grassy finish with hints of sweet red berries. OK. Moderate carbonation and medium mouthfeel. Perhaps not too exciting, but very drinkable and should work well with most light dishes at Bølgen & Moi. Congratulations to Ekangersmuget Bryggelaug for landing this deal! :-)
