on tap at the hop factory in newcastle. clear golden with a persistent large-bubbled head; aroma of kiwifruit and passionfruit; medium bitterness with some limestone and chalk balancing crisp biscuity malt; classy stuff highlandlad (1480) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - JAN 17, 2011
Crikey, these guys are off to a promising start. Love the fact their first two beers are both pale ales. Even better that they’re both pretty damn good. This is a flavoursome, easy drinking APA. Doesn’t have quite as much bite as Little Creatures but it’s streets ahead of the stream of watery imposters that followed. I knocked a bottle of this off in about three minutes and swiftly regretted that I’d only bought one. Nice mix of tropical fruit flavours and at 40 ibus, a reasonable slug of bitterness in the swallow. 330mL bottle with hand written ABV and bottling date. Pours a slightly cloudy golden hue with a small white head and an wonderful toffee/grass/citrus zest aroma. Hop dominated flavour that has an intense grapefruit like punch to it. Very impressed (bottled Novem 2012) floydian1 (1490) - FNQ, Australia, - NOV 1, 2013
330ml bottle dated 9/9/13. Now 5.4% ABV. Deep amber body with decent white head and lacing. Passionfruit, oranges, some pine and malt grains on the nose and tongue with a medium citrussy hop bitterness. An easy drinking well crafted and balanced APA.
