11.2oz bottle, code on back reads 2213293. Clear amber / orange color. Good one-finger khaki head. Fades to a decent-sized ring around the edge, but doesn’t leave any lace. Bigger body. Soft, smooth carbonation. More dry texture. Sweet taste (indeed, not cloying), and about the amount of booze taste you would expect from 11% ABV. Though there isn’t any bothersome burn or bite for me, just a nice bit of warmth. After taste has kind of an Eastern European malt liquor feel to it, though. Not much to the aroma, though. Just a caramel sweet and nutty malt flavor, kind of a sherry aroma. Light tropical fruit notes. Solid eisbock

11.2 oz. bottle. Pour was copper, off white head. Aroma of bread dough, raisin, plum jelly. Taste was moderate sweet, raisins, apple, clove, alcohol. MMR (752) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 28, 2017
This wasn’t too good. Beer with a strong alcoholic taste just for the taste of alcohol... Acaro (176) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 23, 2017
Aroma: Strong caramel and toast notes with an alcoholic touch.
Appearance: Red amber color with hazy liquid and minimal white head.
Taste: Heavy sweet touch with light sour notes.
Palate: Full body with sticky oily texture and flat carbonation. Long sweet and alcoholic finish.
Overall: The kind of beer you like or not, there is not a middle point. I have tried beers with higher alcohol percentage with less alcoholic feeling. stupre (328) - Nanterre, FRANCE - MAR 18, 2017

Deep mahogany colored beer with a medium foamy light beige head that drops thick lace. Nose of candied nuts, caramel, and toffee, but it’s a bit faint. Flavor is more pronounced and sweet with the same basic flavors as the nose with an overarching acrid flavor that is a bit off-putting. Hides the alcohol well, but the flavor is a bit strange. Bottled, 330ml aged 9.5yrs from the LeClerc Hypermarket, Vouziers, Ardennes, France. Clear amber with short beige head. There is a boozy, sherry nose to this on opening, there was still plenty of natural fizz to this but flattened out on pouring. Fruity, apricot notes, loads of alcohol and really very sweet. Warming on a cold frosty winters evening. It’s okay.

Bottle from Alcostock in Tallinn (€ 1.99). BB 02.05.2017. Pours clear, deep golden with a head that dissipates really fast. Aroma is pretty nice initially, strong caramel and malts, but gets a bit too boozy later on. Tastes less as attractive, cheapish, boozy, caramel most dominant, but it’s in a way quite attractive. Crisp carbonation, lightish medium body. Potential headache. Better than expected though. Film pairing: Jodorowsky’s ’Holy Mountain’.
