3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance is a clear amber ale with a nice 1 finger white head. Aroma is very malty and peppery aroma with a hint of caramel. Taste is malty and smooth that finishes with some sweetness, maybe too much as it warms up. Mouthfeel is incredibly smooth and medium. Not much carbonation. A solid eisbock!
0,33 l bottle from Getränkefeinkost, Lüneburg. Dark red brown with a small head. Sweet alcoholic smell. Taste is very smooth for its abv. Sweet malt, shy hop. Still warming. Low bitterness. High drinkability for 11% abv. Great stuff. Grumbo (3720) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2017

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2017 Aroma of caramel and honey and nuts and alcohol . slightly hazy amber pour with minimal head. Flavor is sweet caramel, honey, prune, alcoholic . Thick sticky body with low prickly carbonation. Sharp sweet and alcohol finish. The type of beer that should come in 7-oz bottles. phfyysik (1389) - Tartu, ESTONIA - JUL 31, 2017
Pours amber with light off-white head. Aroma is caramel, hay, some berries, alcohol, raisin, some fat, light toffee. Taste is creamy, thick, alcohol, sugar, some berries, warming, liqueur, fat. A lot of alcohol in aftertaste. Drinkable, but not the whole bottle. GSAP (755) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2017

A very strong doppelbock. I am amazed that this is not considered an eisbock, but still a good beer. Sweet beginning at the mouthful, then alcohol warmth comes across. Minimal carbonation, and is definitely a sipping beer. ozzy70 (1250) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - APR 10, 2017
11.2 oz. bottle. Pour was copper, off white head. Aroma of bread dough, raisin, plum jelly. Taste was moderate sweet, raisins, apple, clove, alcohol. MMR (833) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 28, 2017
This wasn’t too good. Beer with a strong alcoholic taste just for the taste of alcohol...
