A truly great Pils, a little maltier and more ‘Bavarian’ than the rest. The 6-packs are brand new for the American market.

badgerben (5341) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JUN 5, 2004
Pours a pale yellow color with a small, foamy head. Aroma has some muddled hops and grain. Pretty carbonated. It tastes very much like raw grains instead of malted barley. Kind of "dirty" taste to it as well; it’s more earthy and hazy tasting (if that’s possible) than I’d like. I wouldn’t search it out again.

Indra (2710) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - JUN 2, 2004
Rather slight aroma, some basic light grainy maltiness and faintly spicy, grassy hop. Pale golden color, very clear and sparkling with a fluffy head. Pale malt start, the middle very slightly sweet and the finish is dry and lightly bitter, very crisp indeed. Body is of course light, mouthfeel is well-carbonated. Has more flavor than some of the more well-known export German Pilsners.

darkerdabetter (255) - Michigan, USA - MAY 22, 2004
AKA Bitburger. That’s what I thought as I drank this. Good, clean, refreshing, well balanced pilsner.

Brodie (540) - Boone, North Carolina, USA - MAY 6, 2004
Very clean, light malt and hop flavors, medium bitterness. Dry finish. Not bad, good balance, just not flavorful enough.

TBone (18355) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 24, 2004
Bottled, alc. 4,9% (BB 06/2004)

Golden lager color, creamy white head. Grassy hoppy aroma. Hoppy medium-bodied mouthfeel, slightly sweet malty. Short bitter finish.

YourDarkLord (1800) - Urbana, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2004
A white, frothy head tops a pale yellow body. Nothing remarkable about this beer. Your run of the mill pils. Nice cold on a hot summer day, perhaps, as a side to food but certainly not something to be sipped and savored on its own.

rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - APR 6, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2011 Nothing offensive about this, but at the same time nothing much of note. A little bit of lemon in the finish.

Re: rate nice grassy hops, lightly toasted malt. A little honey. A bit sweet in the finish.

DragonStout (1418) - Groveport, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2004
A pale amber color with a large white head.A medium bodied brew with hints of wheat and malt.A good refreshing beer that went down good with a clean finish.

fraternie (1021) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 28, 2004
Thin body, moderate head. Aroma is lacking, a bit metallic perhaps. Virtually flavorless, a touch of hops present. Overall a thin beer, a dime a dozen.

igneous1 (1538) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - MAR 27, 2004
clear, light golden, head is thin, white. aroma not that pleasant, has mild hops and smells a little like wet paper. this scores more points in the flavor dept. sweet, somewhat thin, bitter hoppy finish. not too shabby.
