Spanish Cider. This refreshing medium-dry cider displays the characteristic flavour of freshly-pressed Spanish cider apples, naturally sun-ripened in selected local orchards. Enjoy chilled with a ploughman’s lunch, dessert crepes or eastern dishes - or pour over ice for the extra chill factor!

Aroma: Apple. Appearance: Gold color with clear sparkling liquid and minimal white head. Taste: Heavy sweetness with light sour touch. Palate: Light body with thin texture and lively carbonation. Sour finish. Overall: Actually a bit better than “Etiqueta Oro” but still lacks some features.

250 ml can bought at The 759 Store on Lung Shum Avenue, Sheung Shui.

Looks: Clear light golden colour; Less than one-quarter finger head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds; No lacing with barely notable slight carbonation.

Taste: Fragrant apple wine, with very strong yoghurt tartness, strong wood barrel, mustyness, alcohol and fair tannic.

Taste: Mid to light sweet apple wine, with very strong yoghurt tartness, alcohol, liquorices, strong wood barrel, sandalwood, strong funk, light sugar, and light tannic.

Body: Light body. Quite slick palate.

Mouth Feel: Pretty dry cider with winey and very strong tart yoghurty character. Notable funkyness with tasty sandalwood like barrels. Fairly boozy with an liquor-like edge, moderate sweetness. Excellent!

After Taste: Fairly dry. Very tart and funky to mouth.

Comments: I had no expectation to this can of unsuspecting cider from Spain, but wow its aroma is so yoghurty, its taste is funk-filled smooth barrel with nice liquor. The sweet-tart balance is perfect. A winner!

(bottle) clear pale golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of manure and yeast, with lots of honeymelon, apple sauce and preserved apricots. flavour is mostly custard, apple juice and earth, with lots of black olives and some ethanol in the semi-dry tannic finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at Crab & Lobster, Penang. Clear golden with no real head. Aroma of overripe red apples, tart green apples, light woody notes, a touch burnt and a little funk. Flavour is moderate sweet and light sour. Medium bodied with a dry palate and the burnt aspects giving a little bacon crisps finish. Light carbonation.

Tap@ Beers & Travel Valencia als Sidra apple cider. Licht van kleur als witte wijn. Weinig kraag. Smaakt als met water verdund appelsap.

Gurthnar (5879) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - DEC 15, 2015
Bottle from Carrefour in Gijón. Clear pale yellow colour. Slightly sulfury in aroma but absolutely great in taste. Adequate carbonation and nicely balanced taste. Brings back memories. Oh I need more...

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2015 I’ve had a lot of ciders in my day, and this one honestly tasted like salami. Yes, that’s right the meat product salami. I drank it all because I needed my buzz to continue, but it was hands down the worst ciders I have ever had in my life. I cannot believe the terrible taste of this beer, or how it has such high reviews here. Maybe I got a bad batch or something, but I will never forget how terrible this beverage was, and I will never drink it again.

@ a restaurant in Canterbury. Clear yellow colour, more sweet than sour. Light tart notes. Medium carbonation. Ok cider.
