COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
El Gourdo is the second brother in our "Three Brothers" Porter series. Using a variant of our El Robusto Porter as a base, we peeled, cut and cubed over 200 pounds of fresh pumpkins and added a seasonal blend of spices to the mix. The mouth-feel is smooth and creamy, the aroma is rich spiced pumpkin and the taste deceptively dessert like.

Draft at the source. Dark clear maroon brown color. Aroma of dusty cocoa. Taste is porter first, gourd in the background. Very nice.

Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, allspice, and roasted malt. Pours a bat's ass black with a espresso hued head and no lacing. The taste is pumpkin, cinnamon, allspice, and roasted malt. Full body and medium carbonation. This was a wonderful, robust pumpkin porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Quarry Hofbrau at the Rim. Black pour with a tan head. The aroma and flavor are nice. I get some heavy chocolate and roasted malt as well as a bit of cinnamon. I don’t get any pumpkin notes. The beer is a bit boozy. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Black color with a fine beige head. Ok lacing down the sides of the glass. Looks good. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a soft carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Coffee, roast, some spices (cinnamon) and chocolate in the flavor.

Most excellent beer. I had this brew at their tap room. Soft head. Billowy lace on your glass. You can taste the pumpkin but it’s not overbearing. Sweet but still has a bitter edge to it. Smooth wash down. Absolutely drinkable and delicious. Overall a very solid even in an over inundated pumpkin brew market as of late.
