A brazenly hop-forward beast of a beer, with a huge passionfruit nose. A subtle caramel character provides a malt backbone to shoulder the massive amount of dry-hopping that gives this beer its unique aroma and hop flavor. Two 5 Left is the runway that sends planes screaming right over El Segundo. We always knew we would name a beer after this local landmark and when it came to naming our first Double IPA, it fit the bill perfectly.

Bright copper, good lacing. Spicy mango and tropical fruit, bright. Well balanced malt lends to a sweet, fruity hop profile. Full bodied and dry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lots of bitterness, some guava. Goes excellent with the chicken that they served it with. Some pine like you’re missing the 90s. Pours amber with good head and lacing. Tap at Savor.

radagast83 (8301) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUN 2, 2017
Draft at Churchkey. Pouerd a clear golden color with a small off-white head. Aroma was nice pine notes, touch of citrus. Flavor was nice bitter citrus, touch of citrus zest, light pine finish. Alcohol well hidden here.

cobaink2 (767) - seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 3, 2016
Very light malt and creeping hops. The play on these two are quite interesting. Alcohol kinda creeps up on you. Lighter than expected but enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

douglas88 (9570) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 1, 2016
Bomber from ABV. Pours a crystal clear dark amber color with a medium white head. A big floral and resin hop nose. Big sticky resin, oily hops, bitterness, caramel, tropical fruit. Certainly a big IPA. Quite tasty. Sort of a throwback considering how things are going, but this is good.

Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - SEP 3, 2016
Pours a light copper hue with a heavy floral aroma. Taste is clean, with a dry fruit rind flavor. Refreshing but the floral makeup of the beer made it less than enjoyable. Good beer for the style though.

raphael (1286) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 31, 2016
Huge floral aroma, with citrus, caramel and alcohol. Flavor similar with orange, lemon peel and caramel. Bitterish finish. Oily mouth feel..

Ernest (7788) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 15, 2016
Draft at El Segundo (Jan 2016). Head is mostly/fully diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel), moderately to heavily hoppy (resin, grapefruit), with strong notes of onion and shallot. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. An onion bomb, easily the worst of the sampler.

Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - MAR 23, 2016
23 Mar 2016, tap at El Segundo. gold, clear, no bubbles. nose is bitter pine/dank hops. thin body and mildly fizzy. orange rind, some pine, crisp bitterness, slightly sweet. some smarties candy. nice enough.

Zymurgeist2 (2327) - Redwood City, California, USA - FEB 28, 2016
Tap at Ale Arsenal. Clear orange-gold with moderate white head. Fair amount if caramel and residual sweetness. Overt pine and resins.

Ferris (16273) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2016
Draft - Leafy hops and some caramel sweetness. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet and a bit boozy orange peel. Not bad.
