Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Colin. Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and softish with fine carbonation. Smooth malt, touch of cream. Spicy hops also bringing light fresh orange. Whisper of aniseed alcohol. Smooth semi dry finish.
Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Colin. Pours clear gold with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds ripe citrus, orange, grapefruit; smells good. Medium sweet flavor with moderate bitterness, more ripe citrus, melon, grapefruit, some orange rind. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish with slight mineral dryness, moderate pith, more grapefruit, generic citrus rind. Pretty decent. 22 oz. bottle, sent from Neillago (thanks a lot, Neil), pours a hazy golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out loads of resinous hops, pine, and some dry caramel malt. Flavour is uber dry ad hoppy, with loads of dry pine, floral hops, and just enough crackery malt to back. Super dry and refreshing, with a lingering hoppy astringency. Bitter and dry, just how I love my IIPAs. Excellent.

Draft - Leafy hops and some caramel sweetness. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet and a bit boozy orange peel. Not bad. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 21, 2013
Orange pour with a white head. Sweet caramel malt along with tons of pineapple and grapefruit. Nice pine, floral hops, and a really nice tropical aroma overall. The flavor is really nice and tropical as well. Big pineapple and lots of grapefruit. Pine bitterness balances out the caramel sweetness. Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours hazy amber with yellow-white. The nose is pine, varnish, toffee, candied orange peel, mango, apricot and sherbet. The taste is bitter, pine needles, varnish, peppery grapefruit, toffee notes, warming alcohol sting and toasty with a dry, bitter finish. Medium + body and average carbonation. Pretty easy going for what it is. Perhaps a touch sweet, but solid anyhow. bhensonb (15976) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent amber with a slight off-white head. Mixed resin/citrus aroma. Full bodied. Flavor is very brown sugar with a good dose of hop - but the malt seems to be in the ascendant. Despite that there’s hop burn - and I’m now ascribing that to floral resin. Finishes amazingly balanced - with lots of hop. Ratman197 (15628) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 7, 2013
Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of caramel, orange zest, tropical fruit, peach and pink grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, grapefruit, tangerine, light tropical fruit and a hint of pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish.
