COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for Rob’s dog, the White alludes to our use of 50% wheat instead of barley in this beer. Aside from that though, this beer has very little in common with what most people consider a “wheat” beer. The wheat in the malt bill gives the beer a lighter texture and mouthfeel, and helps to accentuate the bright citrus characters of the fruity West Coast and New Zealand hops we use. The result is an IPA that Hop Heads will love, but that is immediately approachable for most people.

On tap at Venice Ale House in Venice Beach on 15 October 2017. Hoppy to the max with a resinous sticky mouthfeel. Was a lot more murkier losing in the glass than I thought that it would be. Aroma is all hops. Had this with a plate of chicken wings and the hoppiness cut through the heat and spice of the wings.

Draught @ Loyal Legion, Portland. Hazy, thin head, gooseberry, has a mellow, dry, there’s a touch of bread in there.

On tap at Apex, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, light yeast, and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops and toasted biscuity malt. Finishes piney in the hop department. Very good.

LCI. Van de tap @VeniceAleHouse. Prima zacht-bittere IPA met mooie fruitsmaak. Prettig bittere afdronk. Heerlijk op een warme dag op Venice Beach.

Rating #1578 - 21.03.2015 - On tap at Venice Ale House (3/5). Hazy straw coloured pour, with a billowing white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong with orange zest,, toasted wheat crackers. Taste is more of the same, pulpy juicy wheat texture takes on the full character of the beer, with a hint of bitterness. Feels more like a lightly hoppy Wit.
