Draft at brewery. Solid double ipa. Nice resiny texture with a tad of the pineapple hoppy flavor. Alot of malt. I was glad he had some bottled, I bought a 6er to share with my brother. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAR 21, 2009
Bottle shared by larryLSB: Pours a hazy brass orange color with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a fresh resiny grapefruity and orange hop nose with mild pale malty sweetness. Starts wiith good light malty sweetness and sticky resiny citrus bittering hop balance before a drier bittersweet finish. A nicely balanced double IPA. nuplastikk (6256) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 5, 2009
12oz bottle shared by SamGamgee, thanks! Orange-tan color. Big and hoppy earthy aroma. Well balanced and completely drinkable with the moderate ABV. Toasty malt on the light side. Excellent. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - MAR 4, 2009
12oz bottle. Hazy orange with a sticky head. Big, spicy hop aroma with grapefruit and sweet orange and some malty sweetness. Starts with a citric and floral hop flavor, upheld by a sweet pale malt base, and then finishes with a strong bitterness that lingers. Medium bodied and somewhat light for the style. I like the balance. anders37 (26625) - Malmö, SWEDEN - FEB 27, 2009

Had a sample at the brewery, than bought a 6 pack. Poured a nice golden amber color with a nice frothy head that went flat quickly. There was more of a nose on the draft than the bottle. Flowers and fruit. Big hop taste with a hint of evergreen (pine spruce). Better at the brewery than in the bottle! Overall a very good beer. HighWine (959) - Whalezbro, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2009
Tap. Hazy nutmeg color with beautifully-laced head. Nose is floral and citrusy. Taste is delicious with a great malt/hop balance. It’s like eating my favoriate breakfast cereal and drinking my favorite beer at the same time. Palate is malt that transitions into an admirable malt hoppiness. On draft at Toronado SF. Appearance is a translucent murky orange hue, thin layer of white creamy head, sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is pine resin, sweet citrus, cotton candy, touch of mustiness. Taste is bitter pine resin and grapefruit dominated hops, orange and lemons creep in with some grassy hops, cotton candy bubblegum appears near the end, finishes bitter and resiny. Palate is medium-bodied, big thick oily resin texture, biting carbonation. Overall, a nice sticky and resiny hop bomb with a nice balance of sweet citrus and candy sweetness, the finish is a touch too harsh. Lothore (647) - California, USA - APR 26, 2008
A- Golden in color with a small eggshell head that fades and leaves a little lacing.
S- Smells extremely hoppy. Grainy pine scents dominate the nose.
T- Piney hops are prevalent from start to finish with a bitter kick. Grainy bready taste masked beneath the hops.
M- Thick and chunky with a blast of carbonation that compliments the hoppy bitterness perfectly.
D- Definitely a sipper but certainly very drinkable for a double ipa.
