On tap at Toronado. Hazy orange color, aroma of lots of citrus hops. Chewy, taste of more citrus hops and an unusual strong bitterness. I’ll be getting this again. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 22, 2006
12oz bottle shared courtesy of zrrbrrt. Poured a medium to deep and cloudy amber color with a small sized of white head. Aromas of pine, citrus and light caramel. Pinecones. I was really into the hoppy aroma. Tastes of pine, grapefruit, and light caramel. El Toro dropped a Deuce on me and I liked it... TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - DEC 21, 2006
Thanks to Josh. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with an average creamy white head. Aroma was a fresh bag of hop pellets. Citrus, hints of pine, very up front hoppy. Flavors of the same. Very hoppy, yet a light bitterness and a little thin. Not much malt balance. TheBeerGod (6253) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - NOV 26, 2006
GABF 2006. Deep amber with a small white head. Nose is hops, citrus peels, pine needles and caramel. Flavor is more hops, citrus peels, pine sap and lighter caramel. Body is oily and slick but has some a bit of body to it. Medium overall feel. Ends with more hops and citrus peels. Pine coming through here too. goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - OCT 23, 2006
GABF 2006: Almost clear golden color with an off-white head. Piney and earthy hop foward aroma. Hop flavor that grows over the caramel malt. Moderately bitter finish. Not a bad beer.

Tap, Toronado. Pours an orange color with hints of redness. Very hoppy skunk bud aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Bitter flavoring that seems to be lacking a little. 1FastSTi (3361) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 2, 2006
GABF 2006. The beer pours to a golden body with a white head. The aroma is bitter leafy hops. The flavor is bitter hop oil, caramel malt, leafy hops. Overly raw bitter oiliness everywhere! RogerB (2) - Morgan Hill, California, USA - SEP 4, 2006 does not count
WOW...he finally got me to try some of the "Deuce" and I actually liked it much more then their regular IPA. Very good flavor....well worht the price. Oakes (18543) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 25, 2006
Slightly hazy dark amber. Massive citric, piney aroma with crystal malt underpinning. Rich and chewy, with a piney, woody bitterness. Only a kiss of sweetness for balance. Has a unique toasty quality. Drinkable for the style. omhper (25565) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 16, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 27, 2006 Draught at Toronado, San Francisco. Clear dark amber, small head. Strong citric hop aroma. Sweet with clean crystal malt profile, but this beer is dominated by massive hops that hides some sticky sweetness well. Really hoppy and megabitter. The hops makes me forget about it’s drawbacks and I find myself enjoying this beer tremendously.
