Baie Lekker! Bottle. Pours black with medium beige fast dissipating head. Moderate lacing. Cocoa and oatmeal aroma, with a tinge of coffee. Full but mild flavour, more cocoa and oatmeal. Sweet finish, but not cloying, there is enough bitterness. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 22, 2010
12 oz bottle. Pours a pitch black body with a small fizzy light brown head that ran to a thin ring. The nose is very roasty and thick with some oats and a touch of butterscotch. Smells fairly sweet. The flavor is thick, sweet, and roasty with a lingering sweetness. A little earthy yeast and just a touch of butter on the finish, not much, but it is there. Mouthfeel is fairly thick, a little oily in texture, with soft minimal carbonation. Overall, not the best, but it was drinkable. Unibonger (163) - Mount Shasta, California, USA - JAN 25, 2010
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2010 Very dark brown, thin head with light retention. Nice fruity & coffee aroma that transfers to the taste with a smoky finish. Medium - Thick body, with a bit of a syrupy texture and medium carbonation. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 29, 2009
Bottle, Brew 1372. Poured medium-viscosity deep brown with a yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up very sweet toasted cocoa, molasses, and vanilla with some oat backing.. a little char to darken it up.. very nice presentation. The flavor found rolled oats, molasses, and black patent maltage with lots of vanilla and come coffee bitterness around the edges.. toasty, sweet, and tasty. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate, despite the hefty sweetness present.. not quite as smooth a feel as I wanted, but mighty enjoyable aside from that!

12oz. Pour is deep black with a small dark brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, slight chocolate, and coffee. Flavor is full of roasted goodness, coffee, and vanilla. The body was somewhat thin and watery in this guy. Drinkable but nothing too great. GodOfThunder (1249) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUN 3, 2009
Thanks to JMFG. Great aroma coming out of this. Smoke, toasted malts and chocolates. Flavor is lighter than the aroma would suggest, but still good. More chocolate and toast. nuplastikk (6277) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 13, 2009
12oz bottle. Opaque blackness, rusty orange-tan head that fades away into soapy patches after a few sips. Sweet chocolate aroma with a touch of pungency to it. Sweet and malty with a watery smooth finish, this is an awesome, sessionable example of a Sweet/Caribbean Stout, not really so much capturing the Oatmeal. Creamy and smooth, with lots of chocolate malt flavor. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - MAY 12, 2009
Very nice roasted aroma with licorice. The flavor is licorice, oatmeal, dark chocolate, and burned malts leading to a bitter finish. Pretty light bodied ,and lacking oomph (strange word to type) but otherwise, a nice stout.
