Had this on tap while vacationing in San Francisco. Nice amber color, weak head. Malt aroma very evident, whiff of Cascade hops. Very decent malt taste, nice bitterness from the hops. Great drinking beer. nixter (11) - Oakland, California, USA - MAY 29, 2006
on tap. This is a terrific session beer. It has a medium body and a warm, almost comforting malt profile. There is a slight spiciness from the hops as well as pleasant floral aroma and clean bitterness. Smoothe, drinkable and tasty. AZeagle (11) - Cave Creek, Arizona, USA - JUN 12, 2006
Bottle. Lots of malt aroma and flavor, very drinkable. Poured a deep amber color, nice head. Very subtle hop finish. All in all a very nice beer. duggyfresh (3) - USA - AUG 19, 2001 does not count

Love the color and the mouth feel. Tough to find in San Francisco, but when you do it’s such a treat.

I had this beer at a bar in San Francisco, it was hoppy and flavorful and I ordered a third. I really enjoyed it. bg (1) - Menlo Park, California, USA - APR 10, 2007 does not count
A true amber. Wonderful, nutty, rich, sweet, malty flavor, light hops.
Much better on tap!
