Countbeer (6589) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 4, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Small creamy foamy head on top of a hazy orange amber colored beer. Aroma has lots of tropical fruit, some hop flowers, some herbs and light spicy tone and a carbo gass sprinkle. Flavours of exotic fruits, bitters, hops, flowers, cream, malts, grass, herbs and some corn. Aftertaste is bitter, malty, grassy and some hops with a fruity edge. Low carbo, oily silky mouthfeel, medium to fuller bodied and a light oily texture.

Idiosynkrasie (8220) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2014
330ml bottle. Clear, copper colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Citrusy, minimally sweaty, piney hop aroma, hints of orange and lemon, a touch of pineapple, biscuity caramel malty basis. Taste is crisp bitter hoppy, citrusy, notes of lemon, orange, a touch of pine, caramel malty backbone. Quite standard in a sense (or to put it this way, following a distinguishable ideal), but exactly the standard that took great efforts for the precursors to develope it over years, and therefore exactly the level of artisanship you have to reach as a brewer before you seriously should think about setting new standards, about improvement and variation of a style; hence not avant-garde, but a really nice DIPA.

KombatAle (129) - New Brunswick, CANADA - MAY 10, 2014
33cl Amber copper with white persistent foam. Nose is fruity and floral, very aromatic. Medium to full body, a bit syrupy. Taste is hoppy, fruity, with an herbal spicy long end and aftertaste.very alchoolic however.

Abio (1868) - BERMUDA - APR 25, 2014
Dark amber orange coloured brew. Sweet and grassy bitterness combined decent. Not bad at all.

Barrelbelly (751) - BELGIUM - APR 25, 2014
Hazy golden with small head. Apricot, mango, honey with a long bitter aftertaste. High alcohol quite well hidden.

Ragnampiza (757) - Rome / Lecce, ITALY - APR 18, 2014
330 ml bottle from BG Birra, served in a nonic half pint glass. Dark sunrise orange/light amber, pretty hazy, with a tiny, frothy yellow-ish head. Not much one the nose, moderate citrusy hops, slightly floral, perhaps some red fruits (berries), burnt caramel and toffee, but quite fruity all around. Nice balance in the mouth between a resiny and piney hoppyness and a warming, sweet caramel stickyness. Very mild bitterness, light boozy finish. Soft carbonation, on the higher side of medium body, slightly oily texture. The alchool could be more hidden, but overall it’s a well crafted DIPA. Very nice indeed.

Ottima!

oliodnb (664) - ITALY - MAR 30, 2014
Dark amber color, creamy slightly off white head. Heavy malts and fruity aromas, hoppy IPA flavor with a lot of candied fruits, nice vegetal finish.

Beerhunter111 (23291) - Beerland, GERMANY - MAR 26, 2014
Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, fruchtig, Citrus, Karamell. Geschmack intensiv malzig fruchtig, hopfig bitter, leicht alkoholisch.

migajos (327) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAR 18, 2014
On tap at Mad For Beer, Rome, Italy. Appearance, orange hazy. Not so beautiful head though. Typical IIPA sweet, honey aroma. Very hoppy, some alcohol. Taste: hoppy, strong nice bitterness. Tropical fruits notes, strawberry. Nice ballance between sweetness and bitterness. Although it’s an IIPA, i’ts really drinkable. I’m not a big fan of the style, but this one is really nice.
