One of a large number of samples I had at the Extreme Beer Fest in Boston 3/21/32014. Listed as 15%abv odd, strong beer. mansquito (7129) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 9, 2014
One Mile House, NYC tap: Pours light amber with an off-white head. Aroma is of pilsner-ish type hopping, but there was less of it than I really expected. There was also a nice malty backbone. Body was pretty smooth. Alcohol was well covered. I just didn’t really see what this beer was going for. BrewBoxer (2667) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Draft at the guilty goose nyc. Pours a reddish pale color with a smoothness of a stout and the hops of a pula. Almost like a weird amber red ale DocLock (11189) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2013
Shared bottle at Craft Ale. Pours hazy dark straw with off-white head. Nose was noble hops, pale malt, some yeasty funky notes, Tastes complex, with an assertive hoppy flavor, some dryness and white peppery spicy notes, noble hops, and a crisp finish. kevhig (5) - reading, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 26, 2013 does not count
Pours a bright golden color with a tight white head. Non stop cascade of tiny bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass. Smells sweet, slightly caramel and dough like. Malty sweet taste, very crisp and then a lingering warm alcohol finish. Very enjoyable on a dreary summer eve.

Pours a rich copper color with a two finger eggshell foam. The nose starts out with a touch of metallic, rubber like phenols backed by traditional doughy pilsner malts, buckwheat honey and dry grass. The palate follows with a heavy round mouthfeel thats a touch creamy from the oats... fortunately the metallic phenols fall off a bit in the life of the beer but overall its just OK. philvil (176) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Excellent texture and great flavor, its surprising how nice the texture is. Sweet flavor up front, but finishes dry. Pricey but outstanding example of an imperial pilsner. The oatmeal really helps this style. I think it would be even better with more hops, but otherwise it’s perfect. jkwood04 (5472) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 4, 2012
Sampled at the 2012 American Craft Beer Festival. This beer is amazing for the style. Really thick texture. Worth trying.
