First Cast pours a hazy gold, with soft orange hues and white fluffy head that sits on its peak like the snow on the 14,000-foot mountains that are the backdrop to our microbrewery. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, and citrus hops as well as hints of caramel and fresh bread from our locally grown malt invade the senses. The beer hits with a smooth hop bitterness that tingles across the tongue with a lingering bite of mountain pine, grapefruit and fresh citrus notes. This beer is designed as an everyday brew for the craft beer aficionado, with a medium body and a high carbonation to refresh the palate.

Bottle. Mostly clear golden orange with a thick off white head amd ok lacing. Aroma is floral with mild citrus, pine, and bread. Taste is citrus and pine. Lots of orange mix with a musty, grainy flavor. Semi dry. Not bad

12 oz bottle. Bottled on 02/10/16. (Three Rivers Wine & Spirits) Longmont, CO.
Clear golden color with a tiny white head. Really mild aroma of apple juice, hops and malt. The flavor is dry piney and resiny hops, mild bitterness, woody dryness and dry malt. I wasn’t expecting a fresh one as this is bottled in February. When do I learn to check the bottles in the store?

I hate the low score I gave, If you are a fan of malty IPA’s you may love this. Heavy citrus, 2 row, and yakima hops (I think?). Not a terrible Beer and I will try again and update my rating.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a golden to amber color with a small sized head. Citrus, grains, and some pine.

Draft at Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy straw with off-white head. Nose was tart fruit, hops. Tasted tart, fruity, with lemongrassy hops, finished more tart than I would have liked.

Enjoyed a pint of this beer on tap at the brewery. The beer had an amber-copper color was good sized foamy white head with average retention, cling, and lacing. It’s aroma featured grainy and earthy hops with some light citrus and fruity notes. The taste was a fresh bitter blend of lighter earthy and grainy hops with light citrus and just a touch of malt. It was very crisp and fresh in the mouth with good carbonation and an easy to drink body.

Pours a pale yellow with white head. A heavy grainy aroma. A heavy malt and grain taste with some citrus hop taste. A lingering bitter hop and dry grain taste.

12 oz bottle. copper color with a decent white head. Aroma of pine. Taste of pine and some mild grapefruit set in a pils malt base. Palate is lacking in fullness, finishes short. Overall: meh

Pours amber and very clear with a nice lasting head. Aroma of grassy hops and stonefruit. Taste is similar with a real nice palate. Nothing stands out as spectacular, but a real solid well rounded beer.

rosskyle (721) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 31, 2015
