16 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head that quickly goes to a thin collar.

The aroma is rich chocolate and some grains.

The flavor is sweet grainy chocolate and caramel malts with some roast bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is a bit thin bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, a solid roasted grainy chocolate porter. A bit thin.

Aroma is metallic, some CO2. Taste is pretty bland, mostly roasted barley at the end. Palate is thin. One of the worst porters I've had.

Big roast and some nut like Eazy E songs. Black pour with carpet lacing. Some caramel. Bittersweet finish. Tap at Appaloosa grill.

Pours black from the bottle. Light tan frothy head. Traditional coffee/chocolate aroma with roasted smokey notes. Mildly bitter taste with lingering hints of chocolate and cigarette smoke. A touch lighter than usual for the style, but very drinkable.

GTAEgeek (2495) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 17, 2016
Sample from a bottle. Pours a hazy brown, with a small, foamy, beige head. The nose is licorice, caramel, burnt toast, and chalk. Sweet and malty flavor. Medium body, a little thin, and smooth. Overall, this is a weak porter, with some fairly unpleasant aromas and a weak palate.

RABinCO (1511) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 3, 2015
Bottle into a glass. Dark cola pour with a thin, light-tan head. Aroma is vanilla, smoke, peat. Taste is earthy, light stone fruits, smoke, vanilla. Fairly thin, a bit on the sweet side. A little hoppy bitterness would go a long way with this. Finishes a bit on the stale cigarette side.

Sampled at GABF 2015. In the tasting glass brown with a tan foam cap. Nose of chocolate, fruit, and hint of coffee. Medium to full body and creamy mouth feel. Flavor is chocolate, fruit ,and coffee. Biter coffee finish. Good.

From a bottle. This one isn't for me. Tastes like burnt cigarette water, smoky, peaty, but in a bad way. Yuck. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
