Little Mo’ pours storm cloud black with a nice off white head. Chocolate, Coffee and light floral hop notes slowly ooze off the beer. The palate hits with chocolate sweetness and coffee notes balanced by a nice round bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium with a lingering sweetness from this malt forward beer that will have you asking for just a Little Mo’.

16 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head that quickly goes to a thin collar.

The aroma is rich chocolate and some grains.

The flavor is sweet grainy chocolate and caramel malts with some roast bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is a bit thin bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, a solid roasted grainy chocolate porter. A bit thin.

Sample from a bottle. Pours a hazy brown, with a small, foamy, beige head. The nose is licorice, caramel, burnt toast, and chalk. Sweet and malty flavor. Medium body, a little thin, and smooth. Overall, this is a weak porter, with some fairly unpleasant aromas and a weak palate.

Bottle into a glass. Dark cola pour with a thin, light-tan head. Aroma is vanilla, smoke, peat. Taste is earthy, light stone fruits, smoke, vanilla. Fairly thin, a bit on the sweet side. A little hoppy bitterness would go a long way with this. Finishes a bit on the stale cigarette side.

From a bottle. This one isn't for me. Tastes like burnt cigarette water, smoky, peaty, but in a bad way. Yuck. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, cocoa powder, roasted grain), with a note of vanilla. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Simple aroma and a very small vanishing head starts things off on unstable footing, and it stumbles even further in the mouth, where it’s overly sweet and syrupy/flabby. Mediocre.

Bottle, rating #800. Roasted malt aroma with sweet chocolate notes in the background. Pours dark brown with a thin, but retentive light brown head and decent lacing. Starts with with sweet chocolate notes with a rich, smooth mouthfeel, probably courtesy of flaked barley. Finishes smooth with roasted malt flavors to go with a medium bodied drinkable porter. Another good one from elevation.

Taste: sweet chocolate and light wheat astringency. Overall, unique, but not necessarily anything special. Wheat is off.
