Pours like expresso into a British imperial pint glass with sparse carbonation and a glorious tan milkshake float of a head. Mild vanilla latte aroma. Taste is reminiscent of Hershey’s chocolate milk, but not really tasting the horchata which is disappointing. Finish is short and succinct. A pretty standard porter. v8powered (157) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 10, 2017

Bottle... Pours black with a small, fizzy, mushroom-colored head. The olfactory highlights are chocolate crème and vanilla. Medium to full-bodied with adequate carbonation. The flavor is toasty and sweet with a generous measure of vanilla. Smooth, lightly sweet finish. Bottle generously provided by HonusWagner! SG111 (2140) - New York, USA - FEB 3, 2017
Bottled. Pours black, tan head. Aroma is mint, cinnamon, chocolate, very light and thin. I would guess this is 6.5%, not over 8% at all. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, mint, cinnamon. It’s fine. Thin. culchiem (4237) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 25, 2016

Winter 2012 bottle @ home via my rot box. Pours a fairly clear, brown appearance with a big, long-lasting brown head. Aroma has some milk chocolate, mild roast, green pepper, vanilla, and spice. Body is a bit thin. A little twangy flavor. Lightly spicy. Chocolate and vanilla. A little watery. This is certainly on the old side but it’s hard to think this was all that great fresh. luttonm (6955) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 26, 2016
Bottle shared at Pruf’s in Seattle. Warm brown, small soapy tan foam. Warm fruity aroma. Spicy cinnamon, milk chocolate. Hot chocolate vibe for sure. Warm, but not to heavy body. Clean and very tasty. krumbum (1109) - truckee, California, USA - JAN 24, 2016
Huge wood aromas with some vanilla to fill it out. Beautiful black with a light brown head. Smooth velvet roasted chocolate that flows to a delicate vanilla finish. blueshockey24 (664) - Colorado, USA - DEC 22, 2015
Bottle 4 Pack. Pours black with thin head. Aroma is Malt and Chocolate. Taste is sweet chocolate, malt and vanilla with a dark chocolate vanilla finish. I don’t notice the alcohol much in this. Pretty good. GothGargoyle (2588) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 28, 2015
