On tap poured a clear red hue w/ quickly diminishing head. Moderate aroma of chardonnay and oak. Initial flavor light sweet with almost no noticeable sour in the finish. Very light belgian yeast and only a hint of funk the flavor of the chardonnay barrel is the focus of this beer. Light bodied, watery texture, soft carbonation. Drinks like a wine cooler, without a noticeable dryness this 7.5% will sneak up on you.

Clear amber with a bit of white head. Belgian yeast funk and sweet caramel with a touch of spice.

Calling this a farmhouse beer.... Amber color with large bubbles. Aroma is wood like straight up french oak and oxidized apple sauce like you read about.... Taste is insanely oaky sweet amber ale with belgian candy sugar. This beer is really weird and tastes like oak aged apple and cardboard. Left half of the bottle unfinished at Asian restaurant.

Clear amber with a whitish head. Aroma of chardonnay, bubblegum, pear, and citrus. Taste is tart and a little spicy with some sweet and barrel elements and very wine-like. Medium bodied; very smooth and a little dry. Enjoyable, but not amazingly so.

bu11zeye (13140) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - FEB 10, 2015
(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma of oak, chardonnay grapes, tangerine, earth, and citrus. Flavor of chardonnay, butter, earth, herbs, pear, apple, and oak with a dry finish.

Summer 2012 bottling #02213
From notes. Tasted on 12/9/12 from a 750mL bottle, thanks to Curtis for sharing. Pours muddy dark orange with an average off-white head that leaves average lace. The nose is banana and spicy yeast, bread malt, caramel, vanilla, and buttery chardonnay. The flavor is lightly sweet bread malt and caramel up front, with the same, nicely spicy saison and banana yeast, with vanilla and creamy chardonnay barrel. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long nutty, oaky buttery and saison spice finish.

Great aroma, cider like appearance. Can tell that it was aged in old oak chardonnay barrels.

luttonm (6634) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 15, 2014
Draft at Big Wood. Deep orange, yeasty, fruity. Body is sweet and rich. Farmhouse is muted, more sweet bw. alc builts. Tangy, grapefruit, not a standout.

trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Draft at Big Wood 2014. High carb, too much punch with the saison flavors. Sweet, thick... odd for these flavors.

anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 22, 2014
Bottle @ SBWF 2014. Pours a hazy golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty weak funky aroma. Fruity sour funky yeasty woody flavor. Has a fruity funky sour yeasty finish.
