a: nice translucent amber color, slight off white head with little retention
s: nice caramel malt profile, slight hint of hops
t: caramel malt and toffee give way to a slight hop assertivness. I taste a chalkyness... not pleasant.
m&d: slightly chewy mouth, medium bodied
clear, red color; bready, roasted malt and floral hop aroma; an excellent, well balanced red ale; bready, toasted malt, balanced nicely with a good amount of hoppy bitterness; dry, bitter finish; creamy mouthfeel; very smooth mnurda (1298) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 1, 2017

16 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy light khaki headh with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, raisin, plum, apple, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, raisin, plum, apple, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, an y east earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Irish red/ESB style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Tap at gratzi. Nose is sweetish and warm. Full body and clean with some malt. Great color. Decent for a red and wouldn't turn away but not amazing. shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 21, 2015
