Pours a orange red color with a light tan head that slowly disapates. Nice floral taste with a hint of caremel. Much smoother than the normal Barley wine at the Elevator. Great beer.
Draft at brewpub as part of the PHD program.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at the brewpub, this is the February selection in Elevator’s "PHD" program. The beer is a murky orange color with a thin bone white head that diminishes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and ripe fruit. Medium to full body with flavors of sweet malt, toffee and tropical fruit. The finish is sweet and malty with a fruity wheat aftertaste. Above average overall.
