Based on the amount of head and the source, I think this 12oz bottle that I just poured into Le Listermann is old and rancid. Nose is faint potpourri. Sip adds nuttiness, metal, general maltiness, and more random holiday spices. Metal out the ass. I’ll let it warm and lose some head. Sweet and messy. If ever stuck between choosing this beer or winter cold, I choose winter cold. I am willing to bet this beer is simply old. Fritz123 (1535) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2013
Bottle from Portage Lakes Beer. 12oz poured into a snifter. A deep reddish brown pour with a thick foamy head. Lots of lacing. Aroma was spicy with cloves, nutmeg, Christmas spices. The taste however was weird. I drank two of them and for some reason it tasted like teriyaki sauce. My folks thought the same thing. Medium body, finish was...well teriyaki sauce. (maybe I needed some wok chicken with it??) Didn’t really like this one...however the label was awesome! Imaena (2359) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - JAN 28, 2013
Draught. Pretty boring winter warmer. There is nothing that really stood out about this beer. dp (608) - uniontown, Ohio, USA - DEC 31, 2012
nuts, smoke, minimal head, medium bitterness, medium body, soft carbonation, a light christmas ale drewaha (129) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Pours an amber with little head. Smells of nutmeg, cloves.. A spiced cider.
Tastes a little piney. Not in the hoppy way but in the Xmas way. Reminds me of southern tier 2xmas but just a little less good. Still tasty.

6 pack from giant eagle. Sweet and spicy nose. Medium light body with a moderate carbonation. Nutmeg and maybe even pumpkin in there. Smooth finish with just a little bite to remind you that you're a man. One of the better Xmas beers.

12 oz bottle. Dark red; medium smooth beige head; negligible lacing. Nondescriptly spicy nose; vegetable; pumpkin? Flavor bready malt with the same sweet spiciness and vegetable notes; medium bitter piney hop finish. Medium mouthfeel. Not a bad beer but I’d never buy this as a 6-pack. A tasty seasonal ale with some obvious bite, warming, but still spiced. Dark red pour with a short head. Hint of pumpkin for sure.

12oz bottle from Luke, Smell is like getting antiqued with allspice, taste is like old natty light, perhaps its how my palate adjusted to the shock of so much spice.. then booze/heat in the finish from 10% thechandler (593) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - NOV 6, 2012
Pours a medium dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma is spicy and sweet. cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Flavor is good, sweet, smooth and spicy. Notes of cinnamon and nutmeg and clove. Good.
