Based on the amount of head and the source, I think this 12oz bottle that I just poured into Le Listermann is old and rancid. Nose is faint potpourri. Sip adds nuttiness, metal, general maltiness, and more random holiday spices. Metal out the ass. I’ll let it warm and lose some head. Sweet and messy. If ever stuck between choosing this beer or winter cold, I choose winter cold. I am willing to bet this beer is simply old. drsordr (2798) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - NOV 26, 2016
Draft sample at source pour avg gold with thin white head. Nose big spice, pumpkin pie, nutmeg and clove. Taste bigger spice, clove, nutmeg, and some bready malt. Light spicy finish. Some high bitter mid palate. OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - DEC 22, 2006
The December special at the brewpub - Pours dark brown with ruby highlights and a nice creamy tan head that stays pretty well and laces the sides of the glass. Aroma is big of nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, and a little vanilla. Flavor is caramel sweetness upfront but then the cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of vanilla find the tongue. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth and creamy with good body. A pretty nice beer here.. Panzuriel (2333) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - AUG 13, 2015
Elevator Brewing Company Winter Warmer pours a reddish amber with a medium sized beige head. Nose is ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and a bit of stone fruit. Taste is primarily spice with a nice bit of caramelization on the malt. Body is smooth and creamy while being medium thick. A decent winter beer however it’s a bit much on the spice. Draught. Pretty boring winter warmer. There is nothing that really stood out about this beer.

Bottle. Medium amber, transparent, smallish head. Aroma is ginger, vanilla, nutmeg, sugar cane and caramel. This seems kinda like a holiday spiced English strong ale. Pretty sweet with a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Sort of a funny aftertaste. Full mouthfeel. Decent holiday ale. Darkover (1542) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 29, 2007
Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavor of nutmeg, spices and malt. Alcohol is well hidden. Ok, but too heavily spiced. Fritz123 (1535) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2013
Bottle from Portage Lakes Beer. 12oz poured into a snifter. A deep reddish brown pour with a thick foamy head. Lots of lacing. Aroma was spicy with cloves, nutmeg, Christmas spices. The taste however was weird. I drank two of them and for some reason it tasted like teriyaki sauce. My folks thought the same thing. Medium body, finish was...well teriyaki sauce. (maybe I needed some wok chicken with it??) Didn’t really like this one...however the label was awesome! jmikolich (1477) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - DEC 5, 2012
12oz bottle from Luke, Smell is like getting antiqued with allspice, taste is like old natty light, perhaps its how my palate adjusted to the shock of so much spice.. then booze/heat in the finish from 10% redlem (1306) - Ohio, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Ugh. A very strong clove aroma and taste. Overwhelming and unpleasant.
Poured a murky brown with a small whitish head.
