Bottle.
Ugh. A very strong clove aroma and taste. Overwhelming and unpleasant.
Poured a murky brown with a small whitish head.

A tasty seasonal ale with some obvious bite, warming, but still spiced. Dark red pour with a short head. Hint of pumpkin for sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On Tap at the Oak Room in Athens. Dark, with almost no head. Malty, hopy aroma with some evident spice. Tingly mouth feel, with obvious alcohol. Ginger is the most evident spice, along with cinnamon.

Wittales (884) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - FEB 10, 2015
Appearance was clear reddish brown with creamy beige diminishing 1/2 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, all spice with soft caramel malts. Taste are spices upfront then hints of crystal and caramel malt middle. The finish is warming alcoholic one:( Palate was soft smooth creamy CO2 with medium body, then alittle slick off balanced finish. Overall a solid effort, the finish needs to be softer in alcohol.

On tap at Elevator. Out of the 12 beers I tried, this on was my favorite. A truly nice winter warmer. Aroma was outstanding. Ginger bread and vanilla wafers. Flavor was cinnamon, gingerbread, caramel, black pepper. Sooo much going on here it was like a Christmas party in my mouth, but I loved it. Alcohol presence was pretty noticeable on this on.

12 oz bottle. Dark red; medium smooth beige head; negligible lacing. Nondescriptly spicy nose; vegetable; pumpkin? Flavor bready malt with the same sweet spiciness and vegetable notes; medium bitter piney hop finish. Medium mouthfeel. Not a bad beer but I’d never buy this as a 6-pack.

nuts, smoke, minimal head, medium bitterness, medium body, soft carbonation, a light christmas ale
