A traditional dark mild at 3.6% abv. The beer is well balanced with a full roast flavour. The use of Crystal malt and Roast Barley give a deep underlying characteristic flavour, which is balanced with Fuggles hops as the sole variety.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Clear reddish brown with a rough beige head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish accents of hard roasted malt, a little vanilla and dark chocolate. Perhaps a whiff of coffee also. 190209

Bottled. A chestnut brown beer with tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and some butter. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel as well as some coffee and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark golden brown with a small off-white head. Slight butterish and roasted malt aroma. Light spiced too. Mild roasted malt flavour with a hint of liqourice and dark breadish notes, subdued dried fruit note too. Mild finish with a light roasted malt base and a nice level of bitterness to provide a good counterbalance.

Bottle. A very black colour with a thin white head. Aroma is of roasted malts, the taste is very of malts and hops with a very sweet aftertaste. One of my favourite milds

Handpulled cask at the Trafalgar, South Wimbledon (September). Black with off white head. Very bitter for a mild with sharp caramel and ample hops. OK.

Deep brownish amber color with a small, bubbly beige head. Nose of lightly roasted grain and faint grass. I think milds are an under appreciated style, at least in the US. This is a very flavorful 3.6% beer. Roasted grains, puffed wheat, some coffee bitterness with the grass coming out in the finish. I wish I could get a good mild here. Thanks to cgarvieuk for the bottle.

Thanx oh6gdx. Hazy brown in color, bubbly beige head, lacings. The aroma is hoppy and almost juniper berry like. The flavor is sweet and malty with a distinct hoppiness.
