An almost black colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of roasted malts, some coffee and dark fruits. The taste of coffee with roasted malts and fruits like dates. It’s bitter and dry. The aftertaste is in a pleasent way dry and bitter. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 11, 2009
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Clear reddish brown with a rough beige head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish accents of hard roasted malt, a little vanilla and dark chocolate. Perhaps a whiff of coffee also. 190209 faroeviking (11331) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - FEB 26, 2009

Bottled. A chestnut brown beer with tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and some butter. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel as well as some coffee and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing. Pinball (12598) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2009

50 cL bottle. Pours dark golden brown with a small off-white head. Slight butterish and roasted malt aroma. Light spiced too. Mild roasted malt flavour with a hint of liqourice and dark breadish notes, subdued dried fruit note too. Mild finish with a light roasted malt base and a nice level of bitterness to provide a good counterbalance. mike_77 (7232) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - JAN 6, 2009

Handpulled cask at the Trafalgar, South Wimbledon (September). Black with off white head. Very bitter for a mild with sharp caramel and ample hops. OK. jsquire (4662) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - NOV 15, 2008
Deep brownish amber color with a small, bubbly beige head. Nose of lightly roasted grain and faint grass. I think milds are an under appreciated style, at least in the US. This is a very flavorful 3.6% beer. Roasted grains, puffed wheat, some coffee bitterness with the grass coming out in the finish. I wish I could get a good mild here. Thanks to cgarvieuk for the bottle.
