On tap at Pazzeria, Milano. Dark caramel with minimal cream head. Light aroma with roasted and caramel notes with light hops. Light taste, bitter ending well balanced with sweetish roasty notes. Very drinkable. johndoughty (5504) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2007
Bottle. I am always aware of bottles that claim to have won awards as this one did as they inevitably disappoints. This one did not. Yellow with a deep bitterness and an unusual hoppy fruitiness. Lovely aftertaste and for one what it said on the bottle was true. A winner. BlackHaddock (7515) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2012
This was the first beer on one of my ’random beer tsting nights’ (20th April 2010).
Brown 500ml bottle, slightly out of date and poured into a Batemans pint sleeve.
Good mid-amber colour, off-white head of tightly knit foam which showed good retension and produced some good lacing on the glass.
Fuggles and Challenger hops are used and the blend marries well in both the bitterness of taste and with the malted barley in the aroma which was an almost sweet toffee smell as the beer warmed a little.
I found the beer to be refreshing, crisp and tastey, full of a true English Bitter flavour (hoppy, malty and very drinkable.
The 3.8%ABV makes this a very good session beer and I look forward to having another one day soon. AshtonMcCobb (6771) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 28, 2016
Bottle from Beers of Europe.

Bottle. Amber beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly toffee and hopped, and the flavour is gently toffee with some hopped bitterness. Overall a very reasonable bitter.

Soft in the mouth but there is a good tanginess, decent sweet malt, its simple and tasty. A5 A4 F7 P3 OV13 3.2 Christian (13755) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2011
