Cask handpull at The Pembury Tavern as Elgoods Golden Newt, 4.1%. Pours a pale golden yellow, translucent and still with a bubbly off white head. Aroma is custard creams, cream soda. Body is light and smooth with lowish carbonation. Taste is watery astringent with notes of apple and straw, icing sugar in water, some pale wood. Lingering vanilla. Bit weird overall. I'm thinking the condition isn't optimal here. (4-4-4-3-11=2.6) mjs (7815) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 3, 2016
(Cask at Captain Corvus, 20160903) The beer poured golden and almost clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, earth and butter. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, earth, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A poor pale ale. Bad cask? VastActiv (8092) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 3, 2016

Cask @ Burnaby Arms, Bedford. Mid to dark gold. Aroma is malty with hints of citrus fruit hop, like a proper lager. Taste is... wow. Bittersweet, flavourful and rich from start to finish. Theydon_Bois (21887) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2013
Cask at the Seven Stars, Rugby, 06/03/13.
Clear pale golden with a decent sized white cap.
Nose is pale malts, grass, light citrus - pretty thin.
Taste comprises pale malt, lemon, citrus, light summer fruit, vegetal notes.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, some bitterness in the finish.
Look and feel drags this one up a few notches - very average, not one to revisit for me! foxo82 (939) - Bromsgrove (via Leicester), Worcestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 4, 2012
Cask at The Cross Keys, Nottingham. Amber brown headless ale with gravy hops aroma and a tangy, bitter grassy hops taste. Reminiscent of Harvest Pale. Decent session ale. johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 29, 2011
