Cask at the Castle, Bedford. Clear, tawny brown with a thin bubbly off-white head. Looks in good condition so we’re off to a good start. Raisin/fig aroma, with some caramel and woody notes. The initial sweet taste shows bitter edges, but ends full and fruity. Satisfying mouthfeel. A very good ale. s_hartshorne (2767) - wakefield, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2014
