bottle from oddbins, bbe nov 2014. nice translucent amber pour, pillowy head. aroma is dough, cheese, basement - where are the fruits?? ah, there on the tongue...along with tons of malt and piney hops of all varieties. oily mouthfeel, long bitter finish. it’s an IPA all right. one for the hopheads.

(50 cl bottle from Vino Wines Broughton Street; BBE: Nov 2014; 131113 165609) Pours a clear amber with medium, off-white head that fades somewhat leaving film and beautiful lace. Aroma is biscuit with notes of butter(!), citrus and grain. Oily texture, medium carbonation and body with a lingering, biscuit finish. 500ml bottle from Scottish Beer Shop. Clear deep orange-brown amber colour, foamy off-white head leaving some lacing and aroma of tropical fruits, mamalade, citrus & pine, hops. Taste is earthy malt caramel with orange, grapefruit & woody hop bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, very drying bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.
