Cask at Cloisters. An interesting one, pours hazy golden, sweet juicy lychee, nice peppery spice. Lonick (2509) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 30, 2013
Pours gold with a red-ish hue. Grapefruit and pepper on the nose, the pepper and spices are there on the palate as well along with a fruity-ness. This is an odd beer, its simple and easy also better than the sum of its parts. TheCametron (2480) - CZECH REPUBLIC - JUL 22, 2013
Cask at Cloisters. Hazy Golden with a White head. Fresh lychees to the nose. Unbelievably potent. What a concept! The peppercorns are in the mix and the whole thing is so fruity and inviting. As much as it sounds like an insult - this beer reminded me of Peach Schnapps or that Archers gear that everyone seemed to drink when I was a kid. What a sneaky ABV as well. Excellent beer. one of my highlights of the weekend in edinburgh, lychee, gooseberries and mandarins on the nose. hazy pale amber/blonde with decent carbonation and full body. lychee sweetness with dry hop bitterness, almost saison like quality with the pepper catching the back of the throat on the swallow. had a whole pint
Aroma: Pink grapefruit with a hint of spicy pepper.

Appearance: Hazy amber body with a thin white head. Flat carbonation. Light lacing.
Taste: Fruity hop and malt sweetness before a biting peppery spice kicks in. Strong alcohol taste. Not particularly moreish, even with just a 1/3 pint.
Palate: Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Flat carbonation.
Overall: Very unusual, but a bit too harsh and boozy for my liking. My least favourite Elixir beer so far, but at least they keep trying something different.
Cask by gravity at SRAF13 - deep golden with a slight haze, thin bubbly head, alcohol on the aroma, bit of spice, no lacing, sweet, complex, malty, moderate dry spicy finish Stuartyboy (1733) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - JUL 11, 2013

Cask at cloisters. Golden orange pour, creamy white head. Soft lychee, definite light white pepper. Oily pine hops too. Lightly dry perfumed fruits up front, nice soft malt body and a lingering bittersweet lychee flavour. Oily grapefruit bitterness. Delicious. Like a hoppy, naughty Rubicon. Cask at Cloisters. Golden with white head. Sharp aroma of lychee and grapefruit. Taste has lots of lychee and grapefruit again with only a light pepperyness. Reasonable bitterness with a long grapefeuit finish, little alcohol with big gulps. This shit’s delicious, practically fruit juice. cgarvieuk (25391) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 8, 2013
