Bottle at cloisters.... Dark black.. Thin tan lacing... Soft sweet chocolate.. Big berries roast.. Soft malts.. Herbal sweet toffee malts fruit.. Light woody.. Light oxidised fruit.. Light smoke... Tea is probably coming through more this time than any other 3.5

Bottle @ Chriso’s pre-GBBF Shindig. Medium brown with a small head. Some roasted coffee beans. Toffee. Cocoa. Strongly over-carbonated to the point of fault, which detracts from the raspberry and cocoa flavors. Showing signs of oxidation. Medium body. Bottle from a trade with Craig. I was aware of the gusher history on this beer, so I wisely opened it in the sink, still I managed to save a third of the bottle in a glass. Murky brown/black with lots of floaties and a huge foamy tanned head on top. Aroma got light smoked notes, liquorice and roast. Taste is malty, weak well integrated smoke, ash,tar and liquorice. Fizzy mouthfeel. Lingering light salty liquorice, not all bad this one.
