Sampled thanks to cgarvieuk, 12oz bottle pours a murky brown with no head. Nose has mild smoke, quite a bit of tea, brown malt, brown sugar. Flavor is sweet with turbinado sugar, plenty of black tea, brown sugar. Peppery finish. Could be worse. GlasgowTAD (1898) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUL 17, 2015
Heavy gusher. Pours deep brown with a brown head. Aroma is cocoa and kinder bueno. Taste is coffee, cardboard, smoked malts, slight herbs. Stuu666 (14843) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 8, 2014
Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black, smoky nose. smoky chocolate taste, roast malts, dry, a bit too fizzy. Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 25, 2014
Bottle @tasting. Pours brown hazy almost cloudy. Tea (smoky) and spices on the nose, its a nice smelling beer, better than the taste. It’s a bit meh on the palate, light and just not great, a wee bit of a disappointment after the smell. allmyvinyl (11026) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 8, 2014
Bottle at Craig’s. Pours hazy dark brown. Smoked tea aromas, oats there too. Toasty on the taste. High carbonation prickle. Good stuff though.

Bottle via trade with Theydon_Bois, thanks Colin. Pours a deep blackish brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is smoke, sour wheat and spice. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of earthy smoke, light roast, sour wheat, spice and herbal flowers. jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - JAN 31, 2014
Bottle at DadsThursday. Pours brown with tan head. Nose and taste of cola, sour oat, cocoa and tea. Light smoke. Lighter medium body. jackl (8423) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 6, 2014
Bottle @ Chriso’s pre-GBBF Shindig. Medium brown with a small head. Some roasted coffee beans. Toffee. Cocoa. Strongly over-carbonated to the point of fault, which detracts from the raspberry and cocoa flavors. Showing signs of oxidation. Medium body. Overall, meh. gunnar (9697) - Sandnes, NORWAY - DEC 3, 2013
Bottle from a trade with Craig. I was aware of the gusher history on this beer, so I wisely opened it in the sink, still I managed to save a third of the bottle in a glass. Murky brown/black with lots of floaties and a huge foamy tanned head on top. Aroma got light smoked notes, liquorice and roast. Taste is malty, weak well integrated smoke, ash,tar and liquorice. Fizzy mouthfeel. Lingering light salty liquorice, not all bad this one.
