Pour on cask at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with thin tan head, aroma has notes of folgers grounds, some roast, toffee, yeast and earth. Taste is sweet coffee and slightly watery coffee grounds, some vanilla, chocolate, hints of toffee, finishing fairly sweet, slightly roasted. Definitely better tasting than smelling, just ok overall. Cask. Pours clear dark brown with a small, rocky beige head, short retention and flat. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, coffee, toffee, roasted), light hops (woody), and light esters (fruity) with notes of charcoal. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, chocolate, coffee, nutty, roasted), light hops (woody), and light esters (fruity) with notes of wood. Medium-light body, low warmth, carbonation, and creaminess with a dry finish. Very earthy coffee notes.
