3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[cask at the Bow Bar, Edinburgh] Clear golden pour with a large, tight white head from the Aitken fount. Aroma is pretty caramel-sweet for an APA, there’s toffee and alcohol there with a little grassy hop. The flavours are very similar – a Yorkshire interpretation of an APA, more a strong malty bitter than a Pale Ale. Still, it’s a nice beer to drink, which at the end of the day is all that matters
Cask (5.2%), 1/2 pint, hand-pulled at Bon Accord, Glasgow on 5 Sep 2016, weak toffee aroma, golden amber with a thin off-white head and sparse lacing, toffee, fruity flavour, sweet, creamy, smooth. downender (8660) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2016
Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 27/8/2016. Golden in colour with a decent, white, head. Gentle citrus hops, light malts, and a touch of tangerine fruit before a dryish finish. Good. ManVsBeer (10485) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2016
Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a thick creamy head. Mainly hoppy, but lightly hoppy-sweet in character, with an easy-drinking, smooth texture. redders1974 (1473) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2016

Cask in Arcadia, Headingly. Golden with a nice creamy white head. A bit of a weird tasting beer. There’s a caramel malt base with hop notes of citrus and a little pine. Something distinctly meaty in the background. Not bad overall. cgarvieuk (24536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 23, 2012
cask at bow bar ... light hazy golden amber ... thin white head ... soft light toffee fruit nose ... little woody bitterness ... soft toffee malt ... light peppery bitterness ... soft bitter DanielBrown (4502) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2011
Hand pulled at the Jolly Crispin, Gornal. Cloudy, with yellow cream top. Burnt rubber smell - uh oh. A bit of rubber in that taste too. Quite harsh, dry and sweet; but dry finish eases slightly. Could be worse. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 7, 2011
On cask at The Bow Bar. A blonde ale with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel and barley with alcohol fairly present. Similar flavours with a nice grainy flavour also. Grassy hop finish. Nicely bitter.
