Dug it. A bit ugly, but thaats alwayss nice once in a while. Smoky, ashy roastyness, quite dry, with a long (quite long actually), bitter, burnt, tarry finish, i liked the uglyness of it. The bitter roastyness limgered around on the tongue for a while. (Cask- ChelmsfordBF 03')

Brewery Tap, Wimbledon). Some grapeskins noticed this time, full palate, very tasty.
Dark brown with a yellow/golden edge. Nutty, chocolate aroma. Dry nut flavor...but everything here is in the finish--a long, very long, aggressive, dry, astringent finish. Harshy chalky, like leaning over the edge to suck on the White Cliffs of Dover. I required a "chaser" every time I took another drink of this. Others may have palates that weren't affected in the same way I was, but this wasn't pleasant. (gravity pour at 2003 Chelmsford Beer Festival)
