, walsall. Hazy golden colour with a small head. No aroma of note. Taste is of slightly bitter hops, a little citrus and slightly sweet. This is more like a golden ale than a pale lager. An ok beer, my first cask lager.
Cask. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Dark yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate. saxo (18961) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2012
Cask @ The Market Porter. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, hops and straw. prawlie (1633) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 6, 2012
Pint at the Three Guineas in Reading. Golden beer with short-lived bubbly head. Smooth, slightly oily, a hint of sweetness, smooth. Malty aroma with a hint of hops. Decent for an English lager, much nicer than Carling! Tastes more like a golden ale. A creditable effort at a lager. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 1, 2012
On cask at the Bon Accord. Pours a blonde colour with a fair white head. A grainy aroma similar to sweet wort with yeast and grassy hops. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Mildly bitter with lingering grain and grass. Quite a dry finish. Really interesting.
