Bottle at Tre små rum, Göteborg, Sweden. Slightly hazy brownish amber with a medium off-white head. Nice soft roasted malt aroma with subtle nutty and fruity notes. Very soft mouthfeel. Perfectly balanced with a long and dry finish.

Bottle Flip top: in a tulip glass. A nice dark brown nutty colour with a slightly off white head. Not much sediment there either. Aroma slightly caramalised with some hops present. Taste was exquisite. At 8.5 strength, it’s not noticable at all. Thanks to the nutty, rye and fruitty tastes that it punches, slightly roasted flavours not over powering though. A great one to drink and savour with great lasting laceing on the glass. A must try!!!

In the 330 mL flip-cap bottle from Beertopia. Pours a dark amber to light brown color with a beige thick head. Pineapples, raisins and the aroma of a freshly whipped lemon pound cake batter. Very sweet with the fruity plum and raisin flavors, but just quite does not have that single thing that jumps out and grabs me to likr this as much as I did the sassis or the blonde by this brewer.

33 cl. swingtop. Cloudy amber/brown with a frothy almond colored head. Aroma characterized by apple jack (cider), otherwise basically fruity with some musty yeast traces. Flavor of off-sweet cookie/cake malt with some toasty notes around the edges. Again, very fruity tasing (apples, pears, plums). Hops come through on the finish, along with some boozy warmth at the very end. Fine carbonation. Very nice overall balance of malt, fruit and hop. A bit pricey here ($8 per 33cl) but very enjoyable.

Bottle sampled. Pours hazy orange/brown with a good size off-white head. Aroma of fruit, spices, caramel, yeast, and citrus. The flavor is ssweet, fruit, spices, caramel, and finishes with a citrusy dryness. Good brew.

Pours a hazy copper amber with an airy, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel malt and lots of floral, lemongrassy, earthy fresh hops with a touch of doughy yeast. Body starts fairly full with nice carbonation and light caramel and toffee sweetness well-balanced with crisp, bittering and flavor hops toward a smooth bittersweet finish. A very nice Belgian strong ale that seems more like a saison.

Cloudy copper with a pillowy off-white head. Nice malty aroma with caramel and yeasty. Flavor is a touch sweet--with rye bread, caramel, notes of lemon and cider--then whacked into balance with a nice dryness and hops. Mild bitterness covers the alcohol well, and the finish is malty-bitter. Refreshing, flavorful, balanced... An amber that comes off like a super saison. I loved this beer.
