Fresh from bottle to glass. Pours a clear reddish/amber with a small tan head. Aroma was different than any I’ve had. Really fruity and sweet smelling with caramel. I got a lot of cherry in the taste as I swished the beer in my mouth. Sweet malts and caramel present. For being 10% plus I noticed no alcohol at all. Exact opposite. So easily drinkable that I’d be on the floor after a 4 pack of this. First time trying this and not bad at all. MacBoost (1897) - Victor, New York, USA - APR 6, 2013
From very old notes: What an infected, malty mess. This beer is fucked. Do. Not. Buy. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Remainder of a growler, shared by caterwaul. Clear red / orange color. Minimal white head, little lace. Nice tropical fruit, light citrus hop nose. Wow, weird flavor. Seaweed, is what stands out to me. WTF. Very odd, dank grassy seaweed paper flavor to me. Sweeter taste, light bitter. OK sweet DIPA. Probably better straight from the tap. Pours orange amber hut with minimal head. Creamy body gives way to tangerine, oranges, light caramel and faint bittering grapefruit. More sweet than bitter. Ontbeertaster (2362) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 14, 2012
Tap, aroma is nice and hoppie, the flavour is a good bitterness and a bit of earthy and citrus hops, the finish was smooth, good offering overall

Last beer of the night for Brew Tour 2012 WNY. We stopped in Fredonia so old Dan could see his daughter. She directed us to the local Ellicottville Brew Pub. Young Dan bought me this last beer of the night. Pours orange with an off white head. Aroma is sweet floral and citric hops, with a hint of caramel. Smooth, medium body. Flavor brings floral, and citric notes, as well as caramel and lightly roasted malty notes. Alcohol is not very well hidden. Young Dan finished this one. I was done for the night and slept most of the way back to Roch.
Thanks to the 2 Dan’s and Joe for coming. And special thanks for Joe driving us drunks around and being our designated driver of my car. JB84 (649) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 24, 2011
Aroma off smell feet? resiny hops, caramel, boozy. Pour overly cloudy copperish color off white head. Taste very boozy, caramel, grapefruit, abrasively sweet, pine and floral hops. MF medium chewy body mild carb. Overall not a good beer wouldn’t re drink. Birdiebeagle (958) - Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 3, 2010
Bottle Pours a clear copper with a good creamy off white head. The head lasts well, but doesn’t leave much lacing at all. Has a candy sweetness to the aroma. Get hints fruits, spice and hops. The flavor is sweet with some dry hoppiness at the end. Has a dry texture. A medium body. Has a good carbonation. The finish is okay and the aftertaste a bit funky. Not bad but seems out of style. Bottle from Craft. Pours copper with minimal head and nose of heavy resiny hops, caramel malt, tropical fruit, and black pepper. Nose is like Dreadnaught Jr. Tastes of tangerine, resiny hops, and caramel malt. gets a bit hot late, and a bit malt-light, but this one is very good. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 1, 2010
22oz bottle. Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted grains, floral, citrus, and some earthiness. Tastes of citrus, caramel, the same toastiness, and earthy.
